"Probably the best Half marathon in the World"

    Find out why?

The Hastings Half Marathon is organised by The Hastings Lions Club to raise monies for needy causes, and to promote our Historic and Wonderful town of Hastings. Runners are encouraged to raise monies for their own special causes that are close to their Heart. It is ideal preparation for the London Marathon, both in training, and getting big event experience in a 5000 strong field.
The Event is run under UK Athletic Rules, and is well marshalled with first class British Red Cross Support. The course circumnavigates the Ancient Town of Hastings, starting at the Seafront and following the route of William the Conqueror towards Battle, round the back of the Town and down to the Famous 'Old Town' and fishing Village of Hastings, then comes back along the three mile Seafront back to where you started. Although tough for the first part of the course, runners have produced some very fast times and PB's, as the last two-thirds is Flat or Downhill, and then the finish on the Promenade. The Event is for all runners of All Ability to achieve your own special Goal.
Fantastic Crowd Support. Good value, as Programme and Race Results included in the entry fee.
Come by road or train (as the station is not far from the start/finish line), or by Sea or Air! Plenty of Accommodation. Enter early, as Hastings has been popular with Visitors since 1066! More Details click on required information.
In addition to being a well organised run, the organisers offer a free creche facility, Park and Ride Scheme, and can offer Chip to Chip as well as Gun to Chip timing. A Professional Photography Company will be taking photos, which can be orderd 'on line',and you can have a FREE Certificate with your photo. You can see highlights of the Race that evening on ITVLocal.com when you get home. We intend to offer even more entertainment around the route, in addition to the three Choirs and two bands, it is aimed for more live music, a fairground organ, and the ‘Morgan boat’ We want to give runners value for money, and an experience they will remember.
This is an Event Not To Be Missed.
